Our recommendation: The best Virgin Voyages cabin is the one that supports how you want to spend the trip. Choose around the features you will use, then check the exact room’s location and layout.
This is a priorities-based guide, not a universal list of cabin numbers. A location one traveler loves may be a poor fit for someone with different access, noise or budget needs.
| Your priority | Start by comparing | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Keep the fare down | Insider options | You can put more budget toward other trip costs |
| Natural light | Sea View | A window may meet the need without a terrace |
| Private outdoor time | Sea Terrace | The outdoor space has a daily use |
| Extra accommodation and perks | Specific RockStar or Mega RockStar suites | You can compare the benefits against the upgrade cost |
| Sharing with friends | Exact bed and occupancy configurations | Comfort depends on how the room works for your party |
If you are uncertain how much time you will spend in the cabin, identify your minimum comfort requirements first. A first trip does not require the most expensive accommodation. It does require a room you will be happy to return to.
If a private terrace is part of the vacation you are picturing, compare it seriously. If it is only appealing because it appears in every social video, consider whether the difference in cost serves your actual priorities.
Our recommendation is to give more weight to room comfort and useful space as trip length grows. Ask how the bed arrangement, storage and daily routine will work. Compare the cost per night of an upgrade, then decide whether the improvement is worth that amount to you.
Consider a Sea Terrace if private outdoor viewing is important. Also think about how often you want to move around the ship to see different views. A terrace can be valuable without replacing time on public decks.
Confirm the view and terrace features of the precise cabin. A category name alone does not resolve every difference.
Open the deck plan and look at the decks directly above and below the room. Compare neighboring public venues, service areas and the routes you will use most. If quiet is a priority, explain that before asking for a quote.
A centrally placed cabin may reduce some walks, but convenience is personal. Someone spending most evenings in one venue may prefer a different location from someone who mainly wants easy daytime access.
Use them as prompts for questions. A room should be evaluated using the current deck plan and the traveler’s priorities, rather than rejected solely because someone disliked it on a different trip.
Name the three things the cabin must do for you. Compare available rooms against those needs, then choose the fare and terms separately. Send Social Vacations your shortlist and we can help make the comparison concrete.
